Cecelia J. Mills
Cecelia J. Mills of LeRoy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at United Memorial Hospital
Born in Buffalo, NY, December 19,1919, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Johnson. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Mills in 1978.
She is survived by her children, Edward (Beverly) Mills of Holly, Michigan, Suzanne (William) Walton of Pavilion, NY, Mary (Tom) Kretz of Fredrick, Maryland, Patricia (Brian) Fenwick of Guilford, Connecticut, and John (Debi) Mills of Hinesville, Georgia, a brother, Robert (Marge) Johnson of Berkley Michigan, 12 grandchildern, 20 great grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews.
Besides raising five childern, she worked as a secrectary at Robeson Cutlery, Perry, NY, and as a secretary at the Student Union, SUNY Geneseo, NY. She enjoyed traveling to Scandinavian Countries, England, Canada, and south America. She was a memeber of the Museum Quilt Guild, Batavia, NY, The LeRoy Garden Club, and also was an interpreter the Genesee Country Museum.
Services and interment are private. Memorials may be made to the LeRoy Food Pantry, 48 Main Street, LeRoy,NY 14482, The Salvation Army, 529 East Main St, Batavia, NY 14020, or a charity of your choice.
