Lyndonville - Frances G. Eigenmann, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening (Dec. 13, 2011) at the home of her daughter in Batavia, with her loving family at her side.
Mrs. Eigenmann was born Sept. 22, 1939 in Albany, a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Simpson Gell.
Upon her retirement from M & T Bank, she and her husband divided their time between their cottage on Lake Ontario and a home in Florida, where she devoted some of her time to volunteering at the local hospital. Among her many activities, she thoroughly loved to dance, travel and spend time with her friends and family.
She will be remembered as a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family and will be sadly missed by her very dear circle of lifelong friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children, Linda (Dan) Johnston of Batavia and Togo (Cathy) DeBellis of LeRoy; grandchildren, Rachel, Andi, Jake, Riley and Paige; sisters, Mary (Ken) Kite of Texas and Bonnie (Ron) Ruffner of California; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jack Gell, who was killed in the Vietnam War, and her sisters, Elaine Gell and Kathy Lee.
Family and friends may call from 2 ~ 4 and 6 ~ 9 p.m. Friday at the Cameron, Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. (Rt. 19 south), LeRoy. A Rite of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter’s site). Entombment will be private in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga. Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials may be made to either Home Care & Hospice, 550 E. Main St., Batavia, NY 14020 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
